Laura is a certified teacher who has traded the indoor classroom setting for nature’s classroom. She taught Spanish, preschool, and kindergarten for 9 years, and most recently worked at a woman’s shelter (CCO) for 3 years, but has always loved nature and learning about the amazing health properties of plants, and about nature’s ecosystem. Her hope is to be empowered to grow healthy medicinal and edible plants naturally, to save healthy non-GMO seeds, and to share that journey and joy with others.

Tammy Perlmutter is a writer and an amateur naturalist, having been drawn to and fascinated by nature since childhood and has fond memories of playing with starfish and horseshoe crabs at the Jersey Shore, as well as falling in love with pine trees and paper birches while collecting Eastern tent caterpillars and frogs in the Poconos. She has a 17-year-old daughter who inherited her love for the outdoors and adventure. Tammy was an urban rooftop beekeeper for two years and hopes to return to it someday.
